Wings Over Sealand

Posted on August 09, 2012 by RevStu

Hell Yeah! finally has an official release date – October 3rd in Europe – and will be coming out for the PC as well as for XBLA. This is the first proper gameplay trailer.

Start saving the spare Microsoft Points from your paper round now (you'll need 1200), because it's freaking awesome. And I should know, because I made some of it.

  1. Craig says:

    It looks like….Top Banana.
    Acid. (NO NOT THE FACE!!)

  2. Gabe McGrath says:

Looks fun.  Great colours and level variety.
But…  I'm a bit lost…  as to the 'Snoop Dog esque' promotion.
Ah well, whatever gets those American Xboxers spending those points….

  3. RevStu says:

I was kinda hoping nobody would notice the extremely dubious choices in trailer production, to be honest.

  4. elevitate says:

Well graphically it's absolutely gorgeous. It looks like the bastard love child of Mr. Nutz and Ruff n Tumble with a 2012 high-definition sheen.
But the gameplay appears to be just… sort of roaming about a bit not really doing anything, while numbers appear next to your character… ? APPEARS

  5. Gabe McGrath says:

    So Stu,
What was your contribution to the game? I find it interesting when games writers/critics get involved in "the other side of the fence".

  6. Derek says:

The production of the trailer for this game is awful but I haven't played the game yet. Therefore I award this game 7/10

  7. RetroGamer Dickheads (ALL) says:

But, is it better than Kick Off 2?

  8. RevStu says:

“What was your contribution to the game?”

Pretty trivial, mostly just script stuff.

  9. RevStu says:

"But the gameplay appears to be just… sort of roaming about a bit not really doing anything"

It's basically Sonic meets Metroidvania with bits of Bangai-o and Pokemon. And really excellent scripting.

  10. Lacero says:

I see it tells us how many guns there are.  That proves it's a game trailer alright.

  11. Bobby says:

This looks cool.  I'll buy it!

  12. Chris says:

It's also going to be Sony's game of the month for PlayStation Plus members (ie free).
